Little Wanderer Snow Globe Recall Due to Laceration Hazard

In a recent safety announcement, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) has initiated a “Little Wanderer” snow globe recall, citing a laceration hazard. This recall impacts approximately 1,915 units that can crack or fracture.

Product Description

The recalled product features glass snow globes that house a plastic figurine, known as “Little Wanderer,” on a wooden base. These decorative items measure approximately 4.5 inches in height and 3.3 inches in width. The figurines inside come in yellow, blue, or red.

Sales Information

These unique snow globes were sold exclusively at MoMA Design Stores and through their online platform at store.moma.org. They were available for purchase during November 2023, retailing for around $85.

Safety Hazard Identified

The snow globe  recall was prompted by the product’s potential to crack or fracture, posing a significant laceration risk to consumers.

Recall Remedy and Consumer Action

MoMA urges consumers to immediately cease using the recalled snow globes and dispose of them. To obtain a full refund, affected customers should contact the Museum of Modern Art directly. The museum is actively reaching out to all known purchasers to facilitate the recall process.

To date, there have been 39 reports of the snow globes cracking or fracturing. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
